"...Ultimately, that's really the big difference between rigid dieting and mindful eating. Is we don't have a preset of rules. We're not checking boxes, we're not counting carbs. We're not using an outside-in way of managing our eating. Mindful eating is about inside-out, and curiosity is the key to that."- Dr. Michelle May

More about Dr. May:

Michelle May, M.D., CSP (Certified Speaking Professional)

Like many people in our current food-abundant, diet-obsessed culture, Dr. May struggled with disordered eating and body image through high school, college, and into medical school. Mindful Eating Programs and Training (www.AmIHungry.com), and author of the Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat book series that teaches mindful eating to help individuals resolve mindless and emotional eating and senseless yo-yo dieting to live the vibrant life they crave. She is an Associate Professor at ASU where she teaches Mindful Eating. She’s a Certified Professional Speaker (CSP). I’ve been on dozens of podcasts and interviewed for CNN Health, Fitness, Glamour, Health, Parents, Prevention, Self, TIME, USA Weekend, US News & World Report, Washington Post, WebMD, WomensHealthMag, Woman’s Day, and more.
