Welcome to the Food & Culture Series is a celebration, of food and the story it tells. Culture is for everybody and today we are talking to Joshua Hamilton. Joshua Hamilton (He/Him/His) is the Director of African American Student Affairs and has worked at the University of Arizona for 4 years. Joshua works to support the recruitment, retention, and persistence of African/African American/Black students on campus.  Joshua is originally from Irving, Texas; holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas, a master’s degree in Higher Education and Post-Secondary Studies from Arizona State University and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Educational Leadership Program at Northern Arizona University.  He joins us today to talk about Southern food, specifically BBQ, his memories and the connection food and community.
